A recent survey by Logistics Data Analytics, an online logistics analytics company, found that the majority of US food companies and processors rely on MSCEs to track food trends.
The survey of over 500 food processing companies in the US, UK, Australia and Canada found that nearly 70% of respondents have a relationship with one of the top 10 logistics companies in their respective countries, with most companies having a presence in the U.S. and some in Canada.
According to LogisticsData, the majority companies use MSCE data to monitor food and feed trends in the supply chain.
It is the data that helps businesses to identify trends in food and supply chain processes, such as the amount of fresh produce being produced in their warehouses, how often they are adding extra produce to their product lines, how much food they are processing, and how many times their product has been delivered.
The logistics companies use their MSCE trends to track how fast they are increasing food inventory, or the amount they have added to their stock.
LogisticsData said that companies that have a significant presence in each country have a better understanding of what their customers are looking for in their products, and it helps to improve the accuracy of product orders.
The survey also found that logistics companies that had a significant U.K. presence were the most likely to track the latest food trend in the United Kingdom.
The top five companies in terms of U.k. presence are Lidl, Aldi, Asda and Morrisons.
It also found a significant amount of U in the Netherlands, where a large number of the companies are based.
LogisticData said the trends in U.s. food supply chains are not always uniform, but it is clear that there is a convergence between the food companies that are based in the country and those in the UK and other countries.
