MOBBY SQUARE, WEST PALM BEACH, FLORIDA — The biggest shopping centre in the world is taking a more holistic approach with its logistics strategy and is opening a new store next to Tesco stores in Melbourne.
Macy’s is expanding its logistics operation at its flagship MOBBERSWORTH mall in Melbourne’s west end with the new store at the entrance to the MOBMINS shopping centre, just steps from the shopping centre’s busy escalators.
The store is part of a $50 million investment by the mall to open a new shopping centre next door to the mall’s existing store.
“We are pleased to open our new store just a few blocks from the mall, just a short walk from our stores and our employees,” said Mark Miller, vice president of retail operations at MOBYSHOP.
Miller said the new retail location will provide an opportunity to grow MOBYN and expand the MOP store chain to the rest of the country.
“With our global expansion, our stores will be able to offer more of our customers convenience and convenience is a key value that is very important for us,” he said.
New MOBYS logistics manager Michael Stadler said the store will be an “essential” part of the mall and will help boost customer returns.
Stadler added that the store, which is also being built in the Melbourne CBD, will serve as an “unified hub for all of our MOBINESS” stores.
He said MOBys new logistics operations team will focus on the mall itself.
And in the near future, MOB stores are expected to expand to other major malls in Australia.
A spokesperson for the MOC, which has 7,000 stores across the world, said the move to expand the stores was a “significant step” in its strategic plan.
They also said the Mall would be opening a “world class” MOB shopping centre to serve the region and “provide a new platform for our retailers to grow”.
MOBY SHOPS, BOSTON, MAINLAND — MobiSolutions has announced it will open a store in New York’s Union Square, a building that is known for being a hotbed for political protests.
Its store is located just a stone’s throw away from the New York Stock Exchange and the headquarters of the New Jersey Generals football team.
This will allow for more local and regional distribution of products in the store.
MobiSolution CEO Brian Smith said that, in addition to expanding its reach into the United States, Mobi will also be adding products from its UK and Canada distribution partners to its UK stores.
