The NEVIA Logistics and Management Systems Company (L&M) has launched a new tool to help companies track and manage the logistics of the company.
The new platform, called “Logistics Tracker,” allows companies to create and share dashboards for each of the different logistics systems within the company that they use.
These dashboards allow customers to track and view all of the relevant information, such as inventory, delivery schedules, timeframes and more, the company said in a news release.
It also has the capability to track inventory on the basis of location and time of day, so customers can see when and where goods are being shipped, and to know if they are actually on their way to their destination.
“It gives our customers the ability to track everything,” company CEO Tim Schulz said.
“Not only do they know how much money they’re making on each shipment, they can see exactly how long it will take to get there, as well as what they’re paying for each day’s shipping.
This is really important, especially for smaller businesses.”
It will also be a great tool for companies who need to quickly assess how much they are losing and for those who need timely shipping information, he added.
“Logs will be the future,” Schulz told CNBC.
The L&M system has already been rolled out to several other companies, including FedEx and UPS.
